Diary
With RSS (Really Simple Syndication) you can receive updates in real time on the Missioni Don Bosco Diary. The service is free and requires no registration. The RSS feeds from Missioni Don Bosco include the title and a link to the complete text of the article in the Diary section.
How it works
To access the RSS service you need an internet connection and a program called a reader (also known as an "aggregator") which collects and displays the content.
Download RSS Reader:
Below is a list of freeware aggregators that you can download from the internet:
Sharp Reader
RSS Reader
GreatNews Reader
Once the aggregator is installed right-click on the feed you want to subscribe to and select "copy link". Paste the link into the "address" field or "add new feed" field of the aggregator to activate the service.
Alternative methods of subscribing to feeds using the most popular browsers:
Internet Explorer 7:
Subscribe to the feeds you want by clicking on the feed icon and then on "subscribe to feed". From the browser "View" menu, select "Explorer bar", then "feeds". Once you're signed up, the feed will appear as an entry in the list on the left.
Firefox 3:
Subscribe to to the feeds you want by clicking on the feed icon. Select the tool you want to use to view the feeds from the drop-down menu "subscribe to this feed using...", then "Subscribe now". If you choose "Live Bookmarks" once you're signed up, the feed will appear as an entry in the "Bookmarks toolbar folder".
Safari 3:
Subscribe to to the feeds you want by clicking on the feed icon. From the vertical menu that opens on the right, select "actions", "add bookmark", then "add". Once you're signed up, the feed will appear as an entry in the "bookmarks toolbar".
Opera 9:
Once you're signed up to the feeds you want (simply click on the respective icons), they'll be accessible from the feed entry in the navigation toolbar.
