The Salesians are a religious congregation. The main recipients of their mission are young people, and particularly those who, due to economic, social and cultural poverty, are unable to build the foundations for their future. Through missionary work, a fundamental part of the Congregation's activity, the recipients become the young people of the whole world.

Note: the Salesian Mother House "Torino Valdocco", has particular importance because it is the place in which Don Bosco began his work and from where all Salesian activity originated.
The Mother House is home to the Missioni Don Bosco Association and of the Noi per Loro Association.
